Ginger and James Cleland have been buying, selling and creating jewelry for over 40 years. They started Designs In Gold in St. Louis, Missouri, but relocated to Solvang, California in 2008.
The small, but well-known community has embraced Designs In Gold. Six times since they opened, Designs In Gold has been voted the "Best Jewelry Store" by the readers of the Santa Ynez Valley News.
Designs In Gold has become a trusted local source of expertise and knowledge of estate vintage and antique jewelry, and is well known for great customer service.
The Solvang store features antique, vintage and estate jewelry from all periods, along with James Cleland's hand-fabricated pieces.

California Gold Stylized Wedding Shoot at Zaca Creek Inn, Buellton, CA. – We were invited by Chelsea Rushing, owner of Zaca Creek Inn (@zacacreekinn), and Johanna Cronshaw, project captain (@bestwishessb), to provide jewelry for their photo shoot to promote Zaca Creek Inn as a wedding venue.
